Marsha has a passion for developing and empowering leaders to discover their strengths, embrace their passions and connect with opportunities to change the world in their own unique ways. After earning a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Leadership Development, she spent 16 years in the educational technology space. After hearing God’s whisper that it was time to move on to a new adventure, she and her husband, Dale, became involved in The Halftime Institute and realized that significance in their “second half” was a journey that provided meaning and purpose.
Marsha is now serving as a Certified Halftime Coach where she walks alongside others as they discover all that God has in store for them. She believes that what we do in our second half should be as easy as breathing and that the very best is yet to come! For her, there is nothing more exciting than seeing someone discover their “sweet spot” of God’s purpose and plan.
She simultaneously serves on the board of a Halftime alumni organization, Bridge2Rwanda whose mission is to globally educate the brightest African students and return them home to Africa to start businesses and become Africa’s next generation of leaders. She is passionate about Rwanda’s unique potential to lead the African continent in business and economic development. She is constantly amazed at what God’s people can do when they join forces to empower a country…a continent…our world and experiences first-hand the power of “Business as Mission”.
In 2017, she and Dale made their escape from the Boston winters and moved to California. Most recently, however, they have moved to Madison, WI and are digging out the winter coats once again. Their 28 year old son, Chace, lives and works in New York City. In between trips to Africa, Marsha can often be seen walking with her rescue dog, Daisy, going to and from Pilates or enjoying a lovely dinner with self-proclaimed “foodie” friends.

Marnie Nair
North America
Marnie is a Soul Care Coach at Women at Halftime. She joins the team after a 30+ career as an entrepreneur in the education sector. While she found this work fulfilling, as she says in chapter 4 of Women at Halftime, “on the verge of turning fifty, I was suddenly slammed with the realization that I hated my life… I had become a person who worked night and day. And when I was not working, I had zero energy left to live life… I had created an organization with values built around everyone thriving – except me.”
It was then that Marnie’s halftime journey began. This process was long and arduous – and lasted six years (so don’t lose hope!) But as her soul was restored, Marnie came to see that a constant thread running through her life – and what she finds most lifegiving – is creating safe spaces for others to do the sacred work of becoming more whole.
Marnie is passionate about integrating faith and psychology and is awed by the realization that rather than being limited by a mid-life career change, her eclectic background has prepared her for a second-half calling that fills her soul and helps her to serve each client in a way that caters to their unique needs and desires.
She holds a doctorate in Human Development and Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and has specialized training in counseling that includes trauma-informed care, parts-work, and body-based treatment modalities. She holds certifications in Mental Health Coaching and Spiritual Formation. As a survivor of trauma herself, Marnie brings a deep personal understanding of the power of Jesus to heal and restore, and the beauty of God’s grace. She has a particular interest in walking alongside survivors of complex trauma and those who have experienced spiritual harm as they seek hope and healing.
Marnie lives in a small town north of Boston and has found that after a lifetime of urban living, being surrounded by the great outdoors is creating new internal space that allows her soul to thrive.

During her own personal transitional challenges, Rebecca was divinely connected to the Halftime Institute. There, she was inspired and equipped by the Women at Halftime coaching ministry. This led her to discover her life mission: to enlighten and encourage others to live purpose-driven lives through counseling and coaching. In committing to this mission, Rebecca translated the remarkable book Women at Halftime into Chinese and began her coaching ministry within the Chinese community and among church leaders. She is dedicated to counseling and coaching women experiencing various life transitions and crises. She accompanies them on their journeys, helping them reconnect with the Creator of Life, rediscover their true identities, break free from their pasts, and pursue their divinely scripted roles.
